| Welcome to the official website of Pilates of Columbia. Pilates of Columbia offers safe and effective conditioning with its fully equipped studio. It contains all the major pieces of unique apparatus that were originally conceived by Josheph H. Pilates. The "top of the line" equipment provides energizing workouts for the client through scheduled private sessions. Owner and instructor, Robin Riley Martin, is a Pilates Guild Instructor. She trained in New York City with Master teacher, Romana Kryanowska, who was personally trained and designated by Joseph H. Pilates to continue his life's work. Robin was born and raised in Columbia. She graduated from Stephens College with a B.F.A. in Dance. She was Miss Missouri in 1987, and was a top 10 finalist in the Miss America Pageant. For 16 years she performed as a singer, dancer, and actress for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. Now returning to Columbia to raise her daughter, she is passionate about sharing the Pure Pilates System with Central Missouri. |
